Your Taste DNA is built from what you rate, watch, add to your Watchlist, and skip — Lineup never asks you to fill out a survey of favorite genres. Ratings your movie or show detail page cites as reasons, the “why this pick” text under a recommendation, and your Taste DNA page all reflect that same underlying signal.
Yes. The core app — recommendations, ratings, Watchlist, Lists, Movie Night, Taste DNA — is free with no ad-supported catalogue restrictions. Premium and Auteur are optional paid tiers that add things like advanced Discover filters, bigger Movie Night groups, and deeper Taste DNA insights. See the Premium page for what each tier includes.
Settings → Manage Subscription lets you cancel at any time, wherever you subscribed. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. See our Refund Policy for how billing works.
Movie Night finds something everyone in a group will actually enjoy, instead of defaulting to whatever's most popular. Invite people by link, vote on candidates together in real time, and Lineup narrows the pool using everyone's taste, not just the loudest opinion in the room.
Yes — from Settings you can import a Letterboxd username (via their public RSS feed), an IMDb export CSV, or a screenshot of your ratings from either app. Imported ratings feed directly into your Taste DNA the same way rating inside Lineup does.
Both. Use the Movies/Shows toggle in the nav bar to switch modes — recommendations, Taste DNA, Wrapped, and Movie Night all track movies and shows as separate taste profiles, since what you want from a two-hour film and a multi-season show aren't always the same thing.
To run the recommendation engine and the social features you actually use. We don't sell your data to advertisers or data brokers. Full details, including every third-party service we rely on, are in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Settings → Delete Account. This removes your profile and disables sign-in immediately. Your reviews and comments stay attached to an anonymized account rather than being erased outright, since they're also part of other people's lists, clubs, and threads.
